2024 ASEAN Cup trophy tour schedule for the Vietnam national team today

This marks Vietnam’s third Southeast Asian championship, and the team will be celebrated with a grand reception, culminating in a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh later in the day.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, the team will be greeted with a victory parade organized by the Department of Physical Training and Sports. The parade will feature the team showcasing the AFF Cup 2024 trophy as they travel from Noi Bai Airport to the Government Office. The event will conclude with a ceremony at 6:00 PM, where Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will honor the team and head coach Kim Sang-sik by presenting the team with the First-Class Labor Medal.

To ensure the event runs smoothly, the Hanoi Police Department has coordinated efforts to maintain public safety and order along the parade route. Traffic police have been deployed to regulate traffic and prevent congestion, allowing fans to cheer on the team while ensuring safety and compliance with traffic laws.

Schedule for Welcoming the VIETNAM NATIONAL TEAM and the 2024 SOUTHEAST ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY

After an outstanding victory, securing the Southeast Asian Championship title for the third time in history (2008, 2018, and 2024), the Vietnam national team will return home on flight VN610, scheduled to depart at 12:20 PM on January 6 from Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) and land at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) at 2:45 PM the same day.

⭐️ The expected route for the national team’s journey from Noi Bai Airport to downtown Hanoi will follow Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard – Lac Long Quan Street – Thanh Nien Street… to the Government Office. Alternatively, a backup route may take the Dong Tru Bridge or Chuong Duong Bridge to the Hoan Kiem Lake area.

⭐️ The route is being carefully planned to ensure the procession is safe, orderly, and satisfies fans nationwide. Two open-top buses will carry the team from Noi Bai to central Hanoi, led by five special vehicles and eight traffic police motorcycles escorting and clearing the way.

⭐️ At 8:00 PM on January 6, the entire team will head to Hang Day Stadium to celebrate with 20,000 fans, with senior government officials expected to attend.

⭐️ On the morning of January 7, the Vietnam national team will travel to Hung Temple to report their victory and hold a thanksgiving ceremony.
