SHB Da Nang has officially appointed Le Duc Tuan as their new head coach, just days after he parted ways with Hanoi FC. The decision was announced on February 1, marking yet another coaching change for the struggling V-League club.
Coach Le Duc Tuan will take over from Phan Thanh Hung and Technical Director Cristiano Roland, assuming full leadership of the team as they enter the crucial next phase of the 2024/2025 season. This move comes as SHB Da Nang continues to struggle in the league, failing to secure a single victory so far.
The team’s poor form has been evident throughout the season, with consecutive losses in domestic competitions. Currently, SHB Da Nang sits at the bottom of the V-League table with just four points after ten rounds. They trail their nearest competitor, Hai Phong, by four points, and their winless streak has become a major concern for the club’s management.
Given their current predicament, the club decided to take swift action by making a coaching change. Le Duc Tuan is now tasked with revitalizing the team and steering them out of the relegation zone. His first test as SHB Da Nang’s new head coach will be an away fixture against Binh Dinh on February 8 in Round 12 of the V-League 2024/2025.
Le Duc Tuan’s appointment comes as a surprise to many, given that he was only recently relieved of his duties at Hanoi FC. However, the 44-year-old coach brings significant experience to his new role, having worked extensively in Vietnamese football over the years. At Hanoi FC, he played a key role in shaping the team’s tactical setup before parting ways with the club.
Now at SHB Da Nang, he faces a completely different challenge—lifting a struggling team that has lacked consistency and confidence. His immediate priority will be to improve the squad’s defensive stability while also finding ways to strengthen their attacking play.
The upcoming match against Binh Dinh will be a crucial test for Le Duc Tuan as he looks to make an immediate impact. If SHB Da Nang can secure a positive result, it could provide a much-needed morale boost as they fight to climb out of the bottom of the table.
With just over half of the season remaining, Le Duc Tuan has a difficult job ahead, but SHB Da Nang will be hoping that his arrival can spark a turnaround and help the club avoid relegation from the V-League.
