Overseas Vietnamese striker Bui Alex makes his debut with U22 Vietnam

Hanoi, 22 May, 2025 – The list of players for Vietnam’s U22 team has caught the attention of fans with the inclusion of a new overseas Vietnamese player, Bui Alex. This is the first time that the overseas Vietnamese striker, Bui Alex, has been called up to the U22 Vietnam squad.

Bui Alex was born in 2005 in Prague (Czech Republic), standing at 1.78m. He is versatile, capable of playing multiple attacking positions such as attacking midfielder, winger, or forward. Bui Alex currently plays for the B team of Bohemians Praha 1905 in the Czech Republic’s third division.

The player is highly regarded for his technical skills, speed, ability to control and pass the ball well, and effective finishing with both feet. Bui Alex has been a key goal scorer for youth teams in the Czech Republic for many years, scoring 2 goals in the third division in 2025.

Thus, the U22 Vietnam squad will have two overseas Vietnamese players in this call-up. In addition to Bui Alex, Viktor Le is also included. Viktor Le has shown his capabilities while playing for Ha Tinh FC and during a friendly tournament in China.

The U22 Vietnam team will gather alongside the Vietnam National Team during the FIFA Days in June 2025. This training camp is in preparation for the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, the 2026 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers, and the 33rd SEA Games.
