Hanoi. 2 June 2025 – U22 Vietnam is currently training alongside the Vietnam national team as part of the preparation for important tournaments this year. The team continues to be led by assistant coach Dinh Hong Vinh.
Before a training session, young midfielder Le Van Thuan (Thanh Hoa) shared his emotions with the media upon being called up to the U22 Vietnam national team for the first time. “This is a great opportunity for me to learn and strive. I will work hard with the team towards the upcoming goals. I will try my best to continue being called up in future camps and secure a position in the upcoming Southeast Asian U23 Championship,” Thuan said.
Le Van Thuan is a standout product of the Thanh Hoa football training center. He previously performed well in the U21 National Championship, was promoted to the first team, and has featured in the V-League this season. This being his first time joining the U22 Vietnam national team, Thuan is determined to prove himself and develop his career in the future.
Looking forward to working with coach Kim Sang-sik, Thuan expressed his excitement and confidence: “I regularly watch the Vietnam national team play, so I know a little about Coach Kim’s tactics. If I have the opportunity to work with him, I will strive to learn as much as possible and believe I can do well.”
On evaluating his personal strengths, Thuan said, “My fighting spirit is my strength. What I need to improve is my physical condition, but I will try to demonstrate my skills and mentality through every match.”
The young midfielder from Thanh Hoa also acknowledged the coaches who have helped him grow in his career: “I will bring the fighting spirit of Coach Popov wherever I play. Currently, Coach Tomislav is always guiding me and sending videos for me to improve further. I truly appreciate both coaches.”
When asked about his role model, Thuan had many words of admiration for his senior, Doan Ngoc Tan. “Anh Tan is someone I always learn from. He is always patient in guiding and encouraging the younger players on the team,” Thuan shared.
