Hanoi, 5 June, 2025 – On the afternoon of June 5, the U22 Vietnam team held their final training session of the second training camp in 2025, in preparation for important tournaments later this year. After this session, the team temporarily parted ways to return to their respective clubs, while the senior players from the Vietnam national team headed to Malaysia.
During this training camp, two overseas Vietnamese players, Viktor Le and Alex Bui, joined U22 Vietnam. This was Alex Bui’s first time representing the U22 national team, and he was given the opportunity to play in the internal practice match between the U22 Vietnam and the national team on June 4.
Speaking to the media on the final day of training, Alex Bui shared: “Honestly, I’m not yet accustomed to the time zone in Vietnam. The summer weather in Hanoi is hotter than in the Czech Republic. I told myself that I have to try my best because I always want to be on the field as much as possible. Fortunately, the teammates in the Vietnam national team are very friendly. They are kind, open, and always smiling. That creates a very close atmosphere for me.”

Alex Bui also expressed his excitement when given the chance to play on June 4, saying: “The players in Vietnam, from the U22 level to the national team, are really talented. I feel excited to train, play, and compete with them on the field. On June 4, I had my first match with U22 Vietnam. It was a memorable experience that I will never forget in my life. Two Long, Quang Hai, and Nguyen Filip are some names from the Vietnam national team that made a strong impression on me.”
Additionally, the young forward has not yet decided whether to try his luck in the V-League at this stage. He stated: “I still maintain my current view on my career. I would prefer to play football in the Czech Republic at this time. I don’t know what the future holds for me. It’s possible that I will return to the V-League because I have a great impression of Vietnam. But that’s a matter for the future. For now, as I’ve said, my priority is still the Czech Republic.”
