Nha Trang, 17 June, 2025 – The 2025 National Beach Soccer Championship officially concluded on June 17 with two thrilling matches at the beach soccer stadium in Nha Trang. Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Executive Committee Standing Member Nguyen Quoc Hoi attended the finals and presented awards to outstanding teams and individuals.
In the highly anticipated final, defending champions Danang failed to retain their title after a dramatic penalty shootout loss to hosts Khanh Hoa. The match ended 1-1 in regular time, with Nguyen Huu Trong scoring first for Khanh Hoa in the 24th minute before Tran Ngoc Bao quickly equalized for Danang. In the ensuing shootout, Khanh Hoa triumphed 4-3 to claim their seventh national beach soccer title in history.
Khanh Hoa capped off a sensational tournament by securing a hat-trick of major awards, including the Fair Play Award, Best Player (Nguyen Hoang Quan), and Best Goalkeeper (Tran Cong Thanh). Despite Danang missing out on the championship, veteran striker Tran Ngoc Bao was named Top Scorer of the tournament.
Earlier in the third-place playoff, Tuy Hoa – Phu Yen defeated VietFootball 3-2 in a tense encounter. Bui Phuc Duc was the hero with a remarkable hat-trick, scoring in the 3rd, 9th, and 31st minutes. VietFootball responded with goals from Bui Phuc Huy (11th minute) and Nao Minh Vi (20th minute), but it was not enough to overcome Tuy Hoa’s advantage.
The successful conclusion of the tournament once again highlighted the growth and popularity of beach soccer in Vietnam, with teams showcasing skill, resilience, and competitive spirit throughout the competition.
