Hanoi, 17 June, 2025 – On the afternoon of June 17, the 2025 National Second Division football tournament continued with exciting developments in Round 13, the penultimate round of the season. In Group A, the two promotion slots to the 2025/26 National First Division have officially been secured by Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh.
In the highlight match of Group A, the ambitious Bac Ninh side showcased their strength by defeating direct rivals PVF–CAND Youth 3-0 at the PVF Stadium. The goals were scored by Le Sy Minh, Vu Hong Quan, and Nguyen The Thang, helping Bac Ninh secure promotion with one round to spare. Meanwhile, Quang Ninh also completed their mission with a 3-0 victory over Hoai Duc at Cam Pha Stadium. The goals came from an own goal by The Huy Hoang of Hoai Duc, along with strikes by Tran Hai Anh and Nguyen Van Son.
In Group B, the promotion race remains intense as Lam Dong suffered a 0-1 defeat to Van Hien University. With this result, Lam Dong, Van Hien University, and Gia Dinh could all finish with 29 points if Gia Dinh beats Lam Dong and Van Hien University defeats Dak Lak in the final round. In that scenario, considering head-to-head results among the three teams, Lam Dong would have only 4 points—less than Gia Dinh (5) and Van Hien University (7). Therefore, if Lam Dong loses, their only hope is for Van Hien University not to win against Dak Lak, which would cap Van Hien’s total at a maximum of 27 points.
