Nguyen Xuan Son sends heartfelt message to fans as Nam Dinh struggle continues

Ninh Binh, 28 October, 2025 – After two months without a win in the V.League 1 2025/2026, Nam Dinh’s striker Nguyen Xuan Son penned an emotional letter to reassure fans, promising that the reigning champions will bounce back stronger following a difficult period.

Reigning V.League 1 champions Nam Dinh continue to endure a turbulent season, with performances far below expectations. Following a 1-1 draw against Da Nang in Round 8, the club now sit in eighth place with eight points, trailing league leaders Ninh Binh by 12 points.

The stalemate extended Nam Dinh’s winless run to five consecutive matches, marking two months without a victory in Vietnam’s top flight. The team’s last triumph came on August 27, 2025, when they defeated PVF-CAND. Since then, the defending champions have struggled to regain their form amid injuries, tactical instability, and mounting pressure.

Amid growing disappointment from supporters, striker Nguyen Xuan Son — currently sidelined due to injury — shared a heartfelt message on his personal Facebook page to lift the team’s morale and reassure loyal fans.

“We will come back stronger, I promise,” Xuan Son wrote. “Thank you to all the sincere supporters who have always stood by us through difficult times. The road ahead is still long, and we — the blue warriors — will keep fighting with all our heart for the pride and colors of Nam Dinh.”

The 28-year-old forward, born in 1997, remains an important figure for the team despite being unavailable for selection in the first phase of the 2025/2026 V.League 1 season due to a lingering injury. He is expected to make his comeback in the second phase, providing a much-needed boost to the struggling champions.

As Nam Dinh navigate through a challenging transition period under new head coach Nguyen Trung Kien, Xuan Son’s message has been widely shared by supporters, symbolizing the collective hope that the team will rediscover their championship spirit.

Despite recent difficulties, the players remain united in their commitment to restore the club’s glory and fight for a top position in the coming rounds.
