Hanoi, 23 December 2025 – Following the conclusion of SEA Games 33, Vietnamese women’s football has swiftly shifted its focus back to grassroots development, with the National U19 Women’s Championship – ACECOOK Cup 2026 set to begin. The tournament continues a long-term roadmap aimed at building depth and sustainability for the future of the women’s game.

On December 23, the Vietnam Football Federation hosted the official sponsorship launch and fixture draw for the National U19 Women’s Championship – ACECOOK Cup 2026 at its headquarters. Scheduled to run from January 7 to February 7, 2026, the competition will feature five teams: Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Than Khoang San Viet Nam, Thai Nguyen T&T, and Ho Chi Minh City. The teams will compete in a double round-robin format, with matches held in both Hanoi and Ninh Binh.

The upcoming tournament represents the third straight year of collaboration between the VFF and Acecook Vietnam in staging the National U19 Women’s Championship, reflecting a consistent and long-term investment in youth women’s football development.

At the ceremony, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu spoke about the notable strides made by Vietnamese women’s football in recent years. He pointed out that the U17, U20, and senior women’s national teams have all earned places at their respective Asian finals in 2026, calling it a clear sign of structured and effective development. Nguyen Van Phu emphasized that these achievements are closely linked to the domestic competition system organized by the VFF, with the U19 National Championship playing a key role in connecting youth training programs with top-level competition.

He also expressed his belief that the U19 tournament will continue to offer high-quality, competitive matches, contributing to improved professionalism while enhancing the reputation and visibility of women’s football in Vietnam.

Representing the title sponsor, Nguyen Duc Man, Head of Marketing at Acecook Vietnam, reiterated the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting sports development. He stated that through sponsorship and related initiatives, Acecook seeks to motivate Vietnamese football, especially the women’s game, which consistently showcases perseverance, fighting spirit, and pride in representing the nation. Acecook hopes women’s football will continue its upward trajectory, strengthen its position in regional and international arenas, and inspire young people across the country.

Reflecting on the previous season, Phong Phu Ha Nam claimed the 2025 National U19 Women’s Championship title with 23 points from 10 matches, while Ho Chi Minh City finished second, trailing by just two points. With that competitive backdrop, the 2026 tournament is expected to maintain high intensity as Vietnamese women’s football moves beyond SEA Games achievements and focuses on long-term, sustainable progress.
