Ho Chi Minh City, 14 April 2026 – On the afternoon of April 14, the final match between U15 The Cong Viettel I and U15 Hanoi I took place at Thanh Long Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. With a narrow 1-0 victory in the final, U15 Hanoi I successfully claimed the championship of the National U15 Tournament – Modern Cup 2026.
Heading into the match, U15 Hanoi I were rated slightly higher thanks to having the most effective attacking line in the tournament. From the opening minutes, the team in white took control of the game and organized several attacks toward the opponent’s goal.
However, U15 The Cong Viettel I showed solid defensive organization, with their backline staying focused and neutralizing many dangerous situations. The first half ended in a balanced contest. Despite facing strong pressure, U15 The Cong Viettel I maintained discipline in defense and launched several sharp counterattacks, keeping U15 Hanoi I’s goal under constant alert.
In the second half, U15 The Cong Viettel I increased the tempo, while U15 Hanoi I continued to stay compact and created notable responses. In the 56th minute, from a free kick outside the penalty area, Hanoi I’s Nhan Quyen struck the crossbar, missing a clear chance to open the scoring. In the following minutes, U15 Hanoi I continued to apply pressure. In the 67th minute, they produced a well-worked attacking move but failed to beat goalkeeper Dang Khoa of The Cong Viettel I.

On the other side, U15 The Cong Viettel I also had a notable chance in the 70th minute, but Quang Hung’s shot was not accurate enough. The turning point came in the 80th minute. From a situation that did not seem particularly dangerous, Minh Huy of U15 Hanoi I delivered a surprising header that Dang Khoa could not stop, sending the ball straight into the net to make it 1-0, leaving The Cong team in disappointment.
In the remaining minutes, U15 The Cong Viettel I pushed forward in search of an equalizer but could not break through the opponent’s solid defense. In the end, U15 Hanoi I secured a 1-0 victory and were officially crowned champions of the National U15 Tournament – Modern Cup 2026. This was also the first time the capital’s youth team lifted the trophy in this competition.
