Australia, 15 April 2026 – As part of their friendly tour in Australia, the Vietnam U15 women’s team completed their final matches on April 13 and 14, showing several positive signs in terms of performance and development.
On April 13, Vietnam faced U15 Capital Football and made an early breakthrough. In just the 4th minute, Truong Khanh Chi ran onto a through pass and finished at the near post to open the scoring after a mistake by the opposing goalkeeper. By the 17th minute, Quynh Lam produced a strong run down the flank before setting up Khanh Chi, who calmly doubled the lead.
In the second half, Khanh Chi continued to impress with her pressing ability. In the 53rd minute, she won the ball high up the pitch and combined with teammates to score her third goal, making it 3–0. Vietnam briefly lost concentration in the 56th minute, allowing the opposition to pull one back with a well-placed shot beyond goalkeeper Hong Anh. However, just two minutes later, Vietnam restored control as Khanh Chi completed her hat-trick with a decisive finish, sealing a 4–1 victory.

On April 14, Vietnam played the 9th/10th place match against NSW Regional. The team dominated possession and created multiple chances. In the 21st minute, from a corner delivered by Kim Binh, Ma Ngoc Anh capitalized on a scramble in the box to head home the only goal of the match.

Despite continuing to control the game in the second half, Vietnam could not add to their tally but still secured a 1–0 win. Overall, Vietnam U15 women’s team finished 9th out of 14 teams. The squad will return home on April 15, concluding a valuable training and friendly campaign in Australia while gaining important experience for future development.
