Hanoi, 5 July 2026 – Cong An Ha Noi FC have officially completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Damia Sabater ahead of the 2026/27 V.League 1 season.
The move has attracted attention in the transfer market, with Sabater expected to add more quality and depth to the club’s midfield. Standing at 1.77m and valued at around €250,000, the Spaniard is known for his versatility. Besides his main role as a central midfielder, he can also contribute effectively in attack.
Sabater previously played for several Spanish clubs, including Mallorca and Espanyol B. Notably, he was once part of the Spain U17 squad, where he played alongside Adama Traore, who is currently with West Ham United in the Premier League.
Before this signing, Cong An Ha Noi FC had already secured the future of key players, most notably goalkeeper Nguyen Filip, who signed a contract extension until 2029. This gives the club greater stability as they continue reshaping the squad.
On the other side, the police-backed team have parted ways with several players, including Nguyen Van Duc and Brazilian defender Vitao. These changes are part of the club’s wider restructuring plan as they aim for major success in both domestic and regional competitions.
