Ho Chi Minh City, 27 July 2026 – The 2026 Vietnam National U17 Championship has been officially confirmed, with PVF set to face Hue after both teams secured impressive victories in the semifinal stage.
The opening semifinal between Hue and SHB Da Nang delivered an entertaining contest. Hue struck first in the 16th minute when Viet Tai capitalized on a scoring opportunity to give his side the lead. However, Da Nang responded before halftime as Dinh Giang punished a costly mistake by the Hue goalkeeper to level the score in the 36th minute.
The second half was evenly contested, with both teams battling fiercely but creating few clear-cut chances. Just as the match appeared destined for extra time, Duc Tri rose highest during a crowded set-piece situation in the 88th minute, heading home the decisive goal to send Hue into the championship match.
The second semifinal saw Hanoi FC take on PVF in a clash between two of Vietnam’s strongest youth academies. Featuring several members of the Vietnam U17 national team, Hanoi FC enjoyed the majority of possession and created numerous scoring opportunities throughout the match.
Despite controlling much of the play, Hanoi FC were unable to find the breakthrough and were made to pay when Tuan Kiet produced a superb direct free-kick to give PVF the lead. As Hanoi pushed forward in search of an equalizer, PVF sealed the victory deep into stoppage time, with Gia Bao scoring in the 90+5th minute to secure a 2-0 win and book their place in the final.
The 2026 Vietnam National U17 Championship Final between Hue and PVF will be played on July 29 at Pleiku Stadium, where both sides will compete for the national youth title.
