Hanoi, 29 Oct 2026 – Hanoi FC will be without head coach Harry Kewell and defender Anh Tiep for their V.League 1 2026/27 Round 6 encounter against Ninh Binh on October 30, following disciplinary incidents in their previous match against SHB Da Nang.
The capital club have been dealt a series of disciplinary setbacks ahead of the important home fixture at Hang Day Stadium, scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
According to decisions issued by the Vietnam Football Federation’s (VFF) Disciplinary Committee, Hanoi FC fitness coach Bruno Luis Inarra has been fined VND 10 million and suspended for two matches after reacting to a referee during the team’s October 25 encounter with SHB Da Nang at Chi Lang Stadium.
The punishment adds to Hanoi FC’s difficulties following the dismissals of head coach
and player Anh Tiep in the same fixture. Both received red cards and will be unavailable for the upcoming match against Ninh Binh, leaving Hanoi FC without their head coach on the touchline and reducing their options on the pitch.
The absences come at an especially challenging moment for the club, which has struggled to establish consistency during the opening stages of the season. After five rounds, Hanoi FC have collected just six points and sit ninth in the V.League 1 standings, well below the position expected of a team traditionally regarded as one of Vietnam’s leading title contenders.
Their latest defeat has increased the importance of securing a positive result against Ninh Binh, particularly with the gap between Hanoi FC and the leading teams beginning to develop. However, the visitors will arrive at Hang Day Stadium in a stronger position.
Ninh Binh currently occupy fourth place with 10 points from five matches and remain within reach of the teams at the top of the standings. For Hanoi FC, victory would provide a much-needed confidence boost while helping them climb the table and reduce the gap to their rivals. The absence of Kewell from the technical area could complicate the team’s preparations and in-game tactical adjustments, while Anh Tiep’s suspension will require changes to the starting lineup.
With fitness coach Inarra also unavailable, Hanoi FC must find a way to maintain stability despite the disruption affecting both their playing squad and coaching staff. The disciplinary decisions were not limited to Hanoi FC.
Newly promoted Bac Ninh FC have also been fined VND 2 million after five members of the team received yellow cards during their October 23 match against The Cong Viettel at Hang Day Stadium. The punishment was issued following the VFF Disciplinary Committee’s review of incidents from Round 5.
Attention will now turn to Hanoi FC’s meeting with Ninh Binh, where the hosts face the challenge of responding to their recent setback without several important figures. The match between Hanoi FC vs Ninh Binh match will take place at Hang Day Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on October 30, with the capital side seeking three valuable points to revive their V.League 1 campaign.
