Hanoi, 30 Oct 2026 – Hanoi FC bounced back from their previous defeat to SHB Da Nang with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Ninh Binh at Hang Day Stadium on October 30, as Aymeric Faurand Tournaire struck a spectacular stoppage-time winner to revive the capital club’s V.League 1 2026/27 campaign.
Both teams entered the Round 6 encounter determined to recover from disappointing results in their previous fixtures. With each side looking to strengthen its position in the title race, the match carried considerable importance. Hanoi FC faced an additional challenge as head coach Harry Kewell was forced to watch from the stands while serving a disciplinary suspension.
Despite his absence from the touchline, the hosts approached the contest with attacking intent. Both teams played at a high tempo from the opening minutes, creating early opportunities and testing the opposing goalkeepers. However, it was Ninh Binh who struck first.
In the 17th minute, a defensive mistake by Hanoi FC allowed young forward Le Phat to take advantage. He fired a shot from near the edge of the penalty area, beating goalkeeper Van Chuan to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. The setback prompted Hanoi FC to increase their attacking pressure, with experienced midfielders Do Hung Dung and Nguyen Van Quyet playing important roles in organising the team’s response.

As the hosts pushed forward, Ninh Binh adopted a more cautious approach, concentrating on defensive organisation and attempting to protect their narrow advantage. Van Quyet remained particularly influential, creating problems for the visitors with his movement and attacking involvement.
Early in the second half, the veteran forward produced two dangerous attempts, but determined defending from Le Phat and an important intervention by goalkeeper Dang Van Lam kept Hanoi FC from equalising. The home side’s persistence was eventually rewarded in the 64th minute, when Sade Iuval found the net with a close-range finish to bring the score level at 1-1.
The equaliser transformed the closing stages into an increasingly intense contest, with neither team willing to settle for a draw. Hanoi FC continued searching for a winner, while Ninh Binh attempted to regain control and secure a result that would strengthen their position near the top of the standings. Just when the match appeared destined to finish level, Aymeric Faurand Tournaire produced a moment of brilliance in stoppage time.
Hanoi FC player unleashed a superb long-range strike that flew into the top corner, leaving Van Lam with no chance and sending the home supporters into celebration. The spectacular goal completed a 2-1 comeback victory for Hanoi FC, providing an immediate response to their defeat against SHB Da Nang in Round 5.
The result lifted Hanoi FC to seventh place with nine points, helping them regain momentum after a difficult start to the season. For Ninh Binh, the defeat marked a second consecutive setback and another missed opportunity to return to the top of the V.League 1 standings.
Although the visitors had taken an early lead, they were unable to withstand Hanoi FC’s sustained pressure and ultimately left Hang Day Stadium empty-handed. The victory offers renewed hope for Hanoi FC’s title ambitions, with their determined comeback and dramatic late winner providing a timely confidence boost as the 2026/27 season continues.
