Golden star warriors return to Hang Day after three years

Hanoi, 27 February, 2026 – The international friendly between Vietnam and Bangladesh during the FIFA Days window in March 2026 will officially take place at Hang Day Stadium.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has confirmed that the national team will host Bangladesh on March 26 at Hang Day. This marks a notable return, as it will be Vietnam’s first match at the venue in more than three years.

The last time Vietnam played at Hang Day was in December 2022 under coach Park Hang-seo, when they secured a 1–0 friendly victory over the Philippines.

Facing a lower-ranked opponent like Bangladesh, the coaching staff are expected to use the match as an opportunity to rotate the squad, test new combinations, and fine-tune tactical plans.

Key players such as Xuan Son, Hoang Duc, Quang Hai, and Thanh Chung are anticipated to provide stability, while younger talents including Dinh Bac, Thanh Nhan, Xuan Bac, and Le Viktor will look to seize their chance to impress.

Following the friendly, the team will travel to Nam Dinh in Ninh Binh province to prepare for a crucial showdown against Malaysia in the final Group F match of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers, scheduled for March 31 at Thien Truong Stadium.
