Hanoi, 13 March 2026 – A total of 45 players from The Cong Viettel, including Khuat Van Khang and Nguyen Cong Phuong, have received their voter cards and are ready to take part in the election on March 15.
On March 15, 2026, in the nationwide atmosphere of the election day, The Cong Viettel will participate in voting at the Political Officers School polling station. Some players will also cast their ballots at their accommodation site as they prepare for their Round 16 V.League 1 2025/2026 match against Hai Phong FC at Hang Day Stadium.
In total, 45 players from The Cong Viettel have been issued voter cards. The youngest voter in the squad comes from the U21 team, Nguyen Thanh Long, who was born on February 22, 2008. Meanwhile, Nguyen Cong Phuong, born in 2006, will be voting for the first time in his life and expressed his excitement:
“I am very happy to carry out my right and duty to vote for the first time in my life.”
Players such as Khuat Van Khang and Tuan Phong also shared their excitement when holding their voter cards. Khuat Van Khang said:
“This is the second time I have participated in voting. I have carefully read the list of candidates posted at our unit. I understand that every vote represents the hope of a citizen like me, contributing to the development of the country.”
Colonel Pham Trung Kien, Party Secretary of Viettel Sports Company (Viettel Group), emphasized that the players clearly understand the significance of the election.
“The players of The Cong Viettel are very aware of the importance of the voting process. Each vote carries trust and responsibility. March 15 is both the nationwide election day for the 16th National Assembly and the People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term, and also a match day for the team.
However, the players understand that both responsibilities are equally important. Competing with the best spirit and delivering an exciting match for the fans is also a meaningful way to celebrate this important national event.”
