VBA consider the venue for 2026 women’s SEA V.League

Hanoi 13 March 2026 – Vietnam Volleyball Federation will soon select a venue to host one stage of the 2026 SEA V.League Women’s Volleyball Championship.

Speaking on March 13, a representative of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation said: “At the moment, the official venue in Vietnam has not yet been decided. The federation is carefully reviewing the options and will choose the most suitable location to host the tournament and serve the fans.”

According to earlier information, the organizers are likely to continue selecting a venue in northern Vietnam. Last year, Vietnam hosted Stage 2 of the SEA V.League 2025, with matches held at the Ninh Binh Provincial Indoor Stadium. At the end of the tournament, the Vietnam Women’s National Volleyball Team won the championship. This marked the first time Vietnam had won a stage title in the women’s SEA V.League competition.

Currently, several venues with indoor arenas that meet Asian-level standards are being considered as potential hosts for the SEA V.League 2026. These include Vinh Yen Indoor Stadium (Phu Tho), Dong Anh Indoor Stadium (Hanoi), Dai Yen Indoor Stadium (Quang Ninh), and Ninh Binh Indoor Stadium (Ninh Binh). In 2025, the Dong Anh Indoor Stadium in Hanoi successfully hosted the AVC Nations Cup, with the President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation attending the event.

At the recent meeting of the Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation, it was confirmed that Stage 1 of the 2026 SEA V.League Women’s tournament will take place in Vietnam from July 31 to August 2. Stage 2 will be held in Thailand from August 7 to August 9.

Four national teams will participate in the competition: Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Among them, Thailand enters the tournament as the defending SEA Games champion in women’s volleyball.
