Coach Van Sy Son of Quang Nam receives a fine of 10 million VND for statements that severely affect the image and reputation of the tournament.
On April 8, VPF announced penalties related to violations in Vietnam’s professional football leagues. Notably, the case of Coach Van Sy Son from Quang Nam.
According to Decision No. 219/QD-LDVN, Coach Van Sy Son of Quang Nam is fined 10 million VND for statements that severely affect the image and reputation of the tournament in the press conference after the match between Quang Nam and HAGL on April 4, 2024.
In the match at Hoa Xuan Stadium in round 15, Quang Nam, despite playing at home, was held to a 1-1 draw by HAGL. This draw makes Quang Nam face difficulties in the relegation battle this season.
In addition to Coach Van Sy Son, according to Decision No. 220/QD-LDVN, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, Technical Director of Dong Thap Club, is fined 15 million VND and suspended from duties for the next 3 matches in the national football leagues for reacting to the referee in the match between PVF-Police and Dong Thap Club on April 4, 2024, in the 2023/2024 National Championship.
According to Decision No. 221/QD-LDVN, Dong Thap Club is also fined 2 million VND for having 5 players receive yellow cards in the match between PVF-Police and Dong Thap Club on April 4, 2024, in the 2023/24 National Championship.
