Hanoi FC announced the contract extension with Dau Van Toan until 2027. This is a well-deserved reward for Toan’s efforts during his time with Hanoi FC.
In a season where Hanoi FC experienced changes in coaching staff, Dau Van Toan continued to perform well and gained the trust of the coaches. This season, the 27-year-old midfielder appeared in 19 out of 22 matches for the capital club across all competitions. In the AFC Champions League, Dau Van Toan started in both victories against Wuhan Three Towns and Urawa Red Diamonds.
Lately, Coach Daiki Iwamasa frequently deployed the number 8 player alongside Do Hung Dung or Brandon Wilson as a true defensive midfielder.
Regarding the decision to extend his contract with Hanoi FC, Dau Van Toan said: “Hanoi FC has always been a part of me. It can be said that without Hanoi FC, there would be no me at this moment. This place has nurtured me and helped me become a professional player. I have never thought about moving anywhere else besides Hanoi FC.
At Hanoi FC, I have everything I desire. There is no better place than Hanoi FC because here I have wonderful teammates and championships. Thank you to the fans who have always been with us and supported us over time. I want to tell them that Dau Van Toan will still be here, continuing to give my best for Hanoi FC.”
