The V.League 1 – 2023/2024 season concluded with remarkable fervor and excitement, and to honor the outstanding achievements, the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) collaborated with FPT Play to host the V.League Awards 2024. The event took place at the Star Galaxy Event Center in Hanoi and was broadcast live on FPT Play channels and VPF’s media platforms.
The 2023/24 season was historic, marking the first time the league schedule was synchronized with continental and global systems, beginning in the fall and concluding in the summer. This change was a significant step towards aligning Vietnamese football with international standards, bringing numerous benefits to clubs and national teams. The VPF and clubs adapted swiftly to this new timeline, ensuring a season filled with competitive and high-quality football.
A notable highlight of the season was the introduction of VAR (Video Assistant Referee) technology, which was implemented in all rounds of the Night Wolf V.League 1 – 2023/24, ensuring fair and accurate decisions. This season was a precursor to the widespread use of VAR in the upcoming 2024/25 season. Additionally, VAR was utilized in key matches of the National Cup and the playoff games, marking a new era in Vietnamese football officiating.
The 2023/24 season also witnessed handcrafted championship trophies designed by Thomas Lyte from the United Kingdom, adding a touch of elegance and prestige to the victories. These bespoke trophies symbolized the dedication and progress of VPF in organizing and managing the league.
