On August 4th, after six days of intense competition, the finals for the U11 and U13 categories of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Radio and Television Cup (BRT) took place at the Bau Thanh Stadium, Long Dien District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The event was attended by Mr.Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and Kim Sang Sik, Head Coach of the Vietnamese men’s national football team.
U13 Final: Chau Duc vs. Xuyen Moc
The U13 final between Chau Duc and Xuyen Moc teams was a thrilling and energetic match, cheered on by thousands of enthusiastic fans filling the stands. The match was marked by high energy, with both teams displaying strong skills and determination. Ultimately, the U13 Chau Duc team emerged victorious, winning 1-0 against Xuyen Moc and securing their first championship at the BRT Cup.
U11 Final: TP Ba Ria vs. Long Dien
Simultaneously, the U11 final saw TP Ba Ria and Long Dien face off in a competitive match. From the early moments, the Long Dien team pushed forward aggressively, putting pressure on the TP Ba Ria side. By the 9th minute of the first half, Long Dien had already opened the scoring. Despite an evenly matched contest, Long Dien was more effective in converting their chances into goals, ultimately winning the U11 championship of the tournament.
Strategic Partnership Signing Ceremony
In addition to the exciting finals, a significant partnership agreement was signed on the afternoon of August 4th between the Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Radio and Television Station and the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy, marking the beginning of a five-year collaboration.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy’s Recruitment
According to the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy, they conduct annual assessments of thousands of children across the country to identify talented individuals with potential. However, in the past three years, fewer than 15 children have been accepted into the academy.
Since the third season of the BRT Cup, 15 young players from Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu have been admitted into the academy. Impressively, three of these players have been called up by the Vietnam Football Federation to join the national youth teams, participating in Southeast Asian and Asian football tournaments.
The BRT Cup continues to be a crucial platform for identifying and nurturing young football talents, contributing significantly to the development of football in Vietnam.
