BREAKING: Thanh Hoa players accuse the club of owing nearly 20 billion VND in salaries and bonuses

Dong A Thanh Hoa players have collectively filed a complaint, accusing the club of not paying nearly 20 billion VND from the 2023 and 2023/2024 seasons.

Specifically, 21 players from Thanh Hoa FC have signed a complaint addressed to the VFF, Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, and Thanh Hoa FC, stating that they have not received the promised bonuses from these entities.

According to the complaint, the 21 players claim they are owed nearly 20 billion VND in total, along with salaries from May 2024 to July 2024.Among the 21 players who signed the complaint are key members of Thanh Hoa FC, such as A Mit, Hoang Thai Binh, Dinh Viet Tu, Trinh Xuan Hoang, and foreign player Gustavo Santana.

Previously, Coach Popov mentioned multiple times that Thanh Hoa FC was facing significant financial difficulties but did not directly address the issue of unpaid salaries and bonuses.Thanh Hoa FC has consecutively won two National Cup titles in 2023 and 2023/2024. This achievement granted the team the right to participate in the Southeast Asian Champions Cup and the AFC Cup.

However, Thanh Hoa FC decided to withdraw from these continental tournaments. Recently, Cao Hoang Duc, the club’s general manager, stated that the withdrawal was not due to financial issues.
