Former AS Roma player joins Hoang Anh Gia Lai

Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) has successfully signed Brazilian midfielder Marciel Silva da Silva, according to the latest transfer news from V-League. Born in 1995, the 1.86-meter-tall player is currently valued at 350,000 euros on Transfermarkt.

In 2012, Marciel trained with AS Roma’s U19 team in Italy but could not participate in official matches due to EU passport issues. Throughout his professional career, Marciel has played for several clubs, including Corinthians, Juventude, and Nautico. In 2023, he played for Brazilian club Centro Sportivo Alagoano in Serie C.

The Brazilian midfielder has made appearances in four matches in the Brazilian Serie A and two matches in the Copa Sudamericana (South America’s C2 Cup competition). He promises to be a valuable addition to HAGL this season, especially as the team has parted ways with several domestic players and has yet to find suitable replacements.

Marciel arrived in Vietnam just two days ago and has not yet fully integrated into the training sessions with the Pho Nui team. The 29-year-old midfielder will have more opportunities to acclimate to HAGL during the upcoming training camp in Thailand.

Marciel’s signing comes at a crucial time for HAGL, who are looking to bolster their squad and improve their performance in the V-League. His experience in top-tier Brazilian football and international competitions is expected to bring a new level of quality and dynamism to the team. As HAGL prepares for the challenges ahead, fans eagerly anticipate seeing how Marciel’s skills and experience will contribute to the team’s success.

The addition of Marciel to the roster is seen as a strategic move to strengthen HAGL’s midfield, providing more depth and versatility. His arrival is expected to fill the gap left by departing players and add a new dimension to the team’s playstyle. The upcoming training camp in Thailand will be a critical period for Marciel to adapt to his new environment and teammates, ensuring he is ready to make an immediate impact when the season begins.

The HAGL management and coaching staff are optimistic about Marciel’s potential and believe his presence will inspire the team to achieve better results in the league. Supporters are hopeful that this new signing will help HAGL regain its competitive edge and perform strongly in the upcoming matches.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Marciel Silva da Silva and how he integrates into the HAGL squad. His journey from training with AS Roma’s U19 team to playing in Vietnam’s top league highlights his resilience and dedication to the sport. The future looks promising for HAGL with Marciel in their ranks, and the club is poised to make significant strides in the V-League with their latest acquisition.
