On August 19, 2024, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and LPBank held a ceremony to sign and announce LPBank as the main sponsor for the LPBank Cup 2024, an international football friendly tournament featuring the national teams of Vietnam, Thailand, and Russia.
The LPBank Cup 2024 will take place during the FIFA Days in September 2024, and it is expected to be a significant football event that will attract a large audience. This tournament is crucial for the Vietnam national team as part of their preparation for the ASEAN Cup 2024, which will be held at the end of the year.
The participation of two high-caliber guest teams, Russia (ranked 33rd in the FIFA World Rankings and having made 11 World Cup appearances) and Thailand (one of the top teams in Southeast Asia), will provide the Vietnam national team with valuable experience. The tournament will help the Vietnamese players improve their skills and tactics, while also giving Vietnamese football fans the opportunity to enjoy thrilling matches.
As the main sponsor, LPBank aims to enhance the experience for both the national teams and the fans. The LPBank Cup 2024 matches are scheduled to be held at My Dinh National Stadium at 8:00 PM on September 5, 7, and 10, 2024.
To prepare for this tournament, the Vietnam national team, comprising the best-performing players selected by head coach Kim Sang Sik, is expected to gather for training on August 30, 2024.
Ticket prices for the matches between Vietnam, Thailand, and Russia will be available in four categories: 200,000 VND, 300,000 VND, 400,000 VND, and 500,000 VND. Fans can purchase tickets online from August 21 to September 2.
FPT Play will be the official broadcaster, providing live coverage of the LPBank Cup 2024 matches. This tournament promises to be an exciting and valuable event for the Vietnam national team as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.
