Top players valuations for Vietnam’s national team in FIFA Days September 2024

During the September 2024 training camp, head coach Kim Sang Sik has called up 26 players to prepare for two high-profile friendlies against Russia and Thailand at the My Dinh National Stadium. This selection includes a mix of young talents and familiar faces with considerable experience at the national level.

According to player valuation site Transfermarkt, the most valuable player in the current Vietnam squad is goalkeeper Nguyen Filip. The 32-year-old, who plays for the club CAHN, is valued at 550,000 Euros. Nguyen Filip’s high valuation reflects his experience and consistent performances, making him a key figure in the squad.

Following closely are midfielders Nguyen Hoang Duc of The Cong Viettel and Pham Tuan Hai of Hanoi FC, both valued at 400,000 Euros. Born in 1998, these players have proven their worth on the domestic front and in international fixtures, becoming integral parts of Vietnam’s midfield. Hoang Duc, known for his playmaking ability and vision, has been a standout performer for Viettel, while Tuan Hai’s versatility and attacking prowess make him a valuable asset for both club and country.

Next in line is defender Ho Tan Tai from Binh Duong, valued at 375,000 Euros. Tan Tai’s valuation highlights his solid defensive capabilities and his ability to contribute to the team’s attacking play. His experience at both club level and with the national team has made him a reliable option for the defense.

On the other end of the spectrum, the lowest-valued player in the current squad is goalkeeper Xuan Hoang of Thanh Hoa, who is valued at 100,000 Euros. This lower valuation is understandable, given that this is Xuan Hoang’s first call-up to the senior national team, and he is still relatively young at 23. Despite his lower valuation, Xuan Hoang’s inclusion in the squad reflects his potential and the coaching staff’s desire to build depth in the goalkeeper position.

The mixture of experienced players and emerging talents in the squad provides a balanced approach for the national team. The upcoming matches against Russia and Thailand will serve as crucial opportunities for these players to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience, and further develop their chemistry on the field.

With the ASEAN Cup 2024 on the horizon, Coach Kim Sang Sik’s strategy to blend youth with experience is aimed at not only achieving immediate results in these friendlies but also building a strong foundation for the future. As the players continue to train and prepare for these important matches, fans and analysts alike will be closely watching how the team shapes up, especially with the higher-valued stars expected to lead by example.
