On the morning of September 30, former player Van Thi Thanh officially took on the role of head coach for Thai Nguyen T&T women’s football club, with former goalkeeper Dang Thi Kieu Trinh joining the coaching staff.
The appointment of these two coaches further solidifies Thai Nguyen T&T’s ambitions after nearly five years of significant investment in women’s football. The club hopes that the presence of head coach Van Thi Thanh and goalkeeping coach Dang Thi Kieu Trinh will strengthen the team’s capabilities, helping them to continue competing for top positions in upcoming tournaments and eventually striving for the national championship title.
The first challenge for Coach Van Thi Thanh in leading Thai Nguyen T&T will be the 2024 Hanoi Women’s International Cup, organized by T&T Group, which will take place at Hang Day Stadium from October 3-7. This tournament will feature four teams: Manila Digger FC (Philippines), Beijing FC (China), Hanoi FC, and Thai Nguyen T&T.
Thai Nguyen T&T has been steadily building their women’s football program and is looking to make a significant mark in domestic and international competitions. The addition of experienced figures like Van Thi Thanh and Kieu Trinh is seen as a strategic move to boost the team’s chances of achieving success in the near future.
