India’s midfielder is confident they will break their winless streak against Vietnam

Midfielder Suresh Singh Wangjam expressed confidence in India’s ability to defeat Vietnam in the upcoming friendly match on the evening of October 12. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Indian player emphasized his team’s determination to secure a victory after a prolonged winless streak.

Suresh Singh stated, “We are here to win. It has been a long time since we experienced the joy of victory, and the upcoming match is an opportunity for the whole team to achieve that. We have undergone five training phases, and the players understand each other and the coach’s tactics well. We are very confident.”

Sharing the same sentiment, India’s head coach, Manolo Marquez, also highlighted his team’s preparedness for the match. “We have various ways to gather information. We know which of the opponent’s players perform well and can score goals. Vietnam is a strong team with a solid defense, offense, and good goalkeeper, but India has come here to win,” said Marquez.

To prepare for the friendly against Vietnam, the Indian team arrived in Nam Dinh on October 7, allowing them ample time to acclimate to the weather and the playing conditions before the match.

The much-anticipated encounter between Vietnam and India will take place at 6:00 PM on October 12, with both teams looking to demonstrate their strengths and secure a morale-boosting victory.
