Turkish club Kuzeyboru bids farewell to Vietnamese volleyball star

On the night of November 13, Turkish volleyball club Kuzeyboru officially announced their parting ways with Vietnamese star Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, affectionately known as “4T.” The club shared the news on its official website, stating, “Thank you, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy. We have mutually agreed to part ways with Tran Thi Thanh Thuy. Since joining our team, 4T has left beautiful memories for her teammates and fans. We sincerely thank her for those wonderful moments.”

The announcement puts to rest all recent speculation regarding Thanh Thuy’s future with Kuzeyboru. During her brief tenure with the team, Thanh Thuy appeared in only two matches—one in the Turkish national league and another in the European Cup. Despite her limited playtime, she made a strong impression on both her teammates and the club’s fans.

Thanh Thuy is expected to return to Vietnam in the coming days and may explore playing opportunities in other Asian or Southeast Asian leagues. Before her stint with Kuzeyboru, Thanh Thuy had an impressive international career, playing for Japan’s Denso Airybees and PFU BlueCats, Thailand’s Bangkok Glass, and Taiwan’s Attack Line VC.

As she moves forward, Thanh Thuy’s skill and experience are sure to attract interest from clubs across Asia, potentially bringing her back into high-level competition soon.
