Nam Dinh exercises caution ahead of the rematch against Lee Man

Nam Dinh FC is set to face Lee Man (Hong Kong) in the fifth match of the AFC Champions League Two group stage. A victory in this match would allow coach Vu Hong Viet’s team to secure an early qualification to the knockout stage, well ahead of the final round.

With the goal of securing all three points on home soil, Coach Vu Hong Viet has confirmed that Nam Dinh will field their strongest lineup for this crucial encounter. Previously, on the road, Nam Dinh had defeated Lee Man 2-0, but Coach Viet remains cautious ahead of the home leg.

“Their change of coach since our last meeting means we can expect a different playing style from Lee Man, and we must be cautious. However, we are determined to win this match,” said Coach Vu Hong Viet. He also emphasized the importance of being prepared for any surprises Lee Man may introduce due to the managerial change.

Coach Viet highlighted the positive impact of striker Nguyen Xuan Son’s recent goal-scoring form, stating, “This is a welcome change for the team, providing us with more attacking options. He has always been an important player for us. His inclusion in the preliminary squad is a great encouragement, as Xuan Son is always determined and eager to contribute to the Vietnam national team.”

Lee Man’s coach, Matt Holland, acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming match but remained optimistic about his team’s chances. “We know it will be tough, but we will fight for a win. I have a certain understanding of Southeast Asian football, especially teams from Vietnam and Thailand,” said Holland, highlighting the challenges of competing in the region.

The match between Nam Dinh FC and Lee Man will take place at 7:00 PM on November 27 at the Thiên Trường Stadium, marking a critical moment in the group stage as Nam Dinh aims to secure their place in the next round. With their strong form and determination, Coach Vu Hong Viet’s side will look to capitalize on their home advantage and maintain their momentum in the AFC Champions League Two.
