Vietnam national football team prepares for first friendly match in South Korea with full squad

On the morning of November 26, the Vietnam national football team conducted their training session at the Smart AirDome Gyeong Ju Stadium, the venue for their upcoming first friendly match in South Korea against Ulsan Citizen FC. The team’s morale was lifted as they received positive news regarding their squad’s fitness and readiness for the match.

Coach Kim Sang Sik welcomed the return of key players as the entire squad was cleared to participate fully in the training session. After Thanh Chung, Vu Van Thanh, and Dinh Bac recovered and resumed full training, Quang Hai also rejoined the team for the first time in days. Quang Hai had previously been working separately due to his recovery from an injury, but now he is back with the full squad, allowing Coach Kim to have all players available for the upcoming friendly.

With no injuries remaining to monitor and all players fit for training, the team was in excellent shape, allowing Coach Kim Sang Sik to focus on tactical drills and lineup experimentation ahead of the match. The coach took a meticulous approach during the session, pausing at times to offer direct guidance and correct mistakes, ensuring that all players clearly understood the technical and tactical expectations laid out by the coaching staff.

In an adjustment to the initial training schedule, the Vietnam team changed the format for the day. Instead of the usual morning session for physical conditioning followed by tactical training in the afternoon, the team completed all planned exercises in the morning, with a lighter afternoon session focused on gym work to maintain fitness levels and recover for the friendly match.

The team is now fully prepared to take on Ulsan Citizen FC at 10:30 AM (local time) on November 27. This training regimen ensures that all players will be in peak physical condition and ready to execute the tactical demands of the friendly match. Coach Kim Sang Sik’s attention to detail during this preparation phase reflects his commitment to ensuring the team is fully prepared for the challenges ahead in the ASEAN Cup 2024.

With the full squad available and a well-structured training plan in place, the Vietnam national team is poised to showcase their strength and readiness in their first match in South Korea. The upcoming friendly is a key part of their preparation for the upcoming tournament, and the players are eager to demonstrate their progress and sharpen their skills ahead of the competition.
