Nam Dinh FC has been rewarded handsomely by both the AFC and VFF following their successful qualification for the Round of 16 in the AFC Champions League Two 2024/2025. The club secured their spot in the knockout stages with a commanding 3-0 victory over Lee Man on November 27, advancing ahead of schedule in the group stage.
As a result of this impressive achievement, the VFF has awarded the team a bonus of 300 million VND. Additionally, the AFC grants each team that qualifies for the Round of 16 a prize of 80,000 USD (approximately 2 billion VND). Nam Dinh’s victory over Lee Man also earned them another 50,000 USD (around 1.25 billion VND), bringing the total prize money from this match alone to about 3.55 billion VND.
In addition to the rewards for qualifying, Nam Dinh has received a substantial 300,000 USD (approximately 7.6 billion VND) as part of the AFC’s group-stage participation bonus. Their victories against Tampines Rovers and Lee Man in the earlier rounds have earned them an additional 100,000 USD (around 2.5 billion VND).
To date, the total reward that Nam Dinh has accumulated from their performance in the 2024/2025 AFC Cup stands at nearly 14 billion VND. This financial boost, alongside their strong performances on the field, underscores the club’s successful campaign in the tournament.
Looking ahead, Nam Dinh will face Bangkok United in their final group-stage match next week. A win in this match will not only secure the top spot in the group but also bring in an additional 50,000 USD in prize money. The club’s remarkable performance in the AFC Cup continues to bolster their reputation both domestically and internationally.
