Hanoi FC welcomes new goalkeeper coach

The V-League transfer market has been lively, with clubs seizing the opportunity to bolster their lineups midseason. Hanoi FC recently added two foreign players, Luka Bobicanec and Daniel Larissa, and registered a Vietnamese-born overseas player, Pierre Lamothe.

In a notable move, the club has now added a foreign goalkeeper coach to its roster. After a month of trials, Asmir Somun officially signed a contract with Hanoi FC.

Asmir Somun holds a UEFA A coaching license, as per Transfermarkt. He began his coaching career in 2014 with FK Bosna Union and has since worked in Kuwait, China, and most recently, Morocco.

Sharing his excitement, Somun stated, “I am thrilled with the plans laid out by the club’s management. I hope to excel in my role here and contribute to the team’s overall success.”

Hanoi FC currently boasts two quality goalkeepers: Nguyen Van Hoang and Quan Van Chuan. Among them, Quan Van Chuan is regarded as a promising talent in Vietnamese football, having impressed during the AFC U23 Championship 2024.

With the addition of Coach Somun, Hanoi FC aims to further develop its goalkeeping department and maintain its competitive edge in the V-League.
