Men’s national team holds first training session in Binh Duong

On March 12, the Vietnam national team held their first training session in Binh Duong in preparation for their upcoming matches in March 2025. Coach Kim Sang Sik’s squad is training for a friendly match against Cambodia on March 19 and the third-round Asian Cup 2027 qualifier against Laos on March 25.

During this session, four players—Tien Linh, Quang Hai, Viet Anh, and Dinh Thanh Binh—were unable to participate and remained at the hotel due to minor injuries.

Tien Linh is recovering from an injury sustained in Binh Duong’s match against The Cong Viettel in V-League Round 16.
Viet Anh has suffered a recurrence of his knee injury.
Aside from these four absentees, all other Vietnam national team players in the squad took part in training.

Speaking to reporters, center-back Do Duy Manh said:
“I feel very happy to be back in the national team, and the atmosphere is great. It’s been a long time since we’ve gathered, so everyone is excited. Some teammates have minor injuries and are undergoing recovery with the medical staff. Hopefully, they will return soon.”

Vietnam is scheduled to hold two training sessions on March 13:

Morning session at 10:00 AM
Afternoon session at 4:30 PM
