Nam Dinh signs Vietnamese overseas player with experience in France

In the latest V-League transfer window, Nam Dinh FC has announced the signing of Kevin Pham Ba, a Vietnamese overseas player with several years of experience playing in France.

Born in 1994, Kevin Pham Ba primarily plays as a right-back but is also capable of operating as a center-back. Having spent his entire career playing in France, this marks his first time playing for a club outside the country.

Standing at 1.81 meters tall, Pham Ba is recognized for his intelligent playing style and is expected to bolster Nam Dinh’s defense with his presence.

Since he is registered as a Vietnamese overseas player, his signing does not impact Nam Dinh’s foreign player quota. Despite speculation about Hendrio’s potential departure, the club has confirmed that he will stay, as his contract remains valid for a significant period.

Recently, head coach Vu Hong Viet has been testing new foreign players, resulting in Hendrio being benched. Meanwhile, Caio has been deployed as a defensive midfielder, allowing Tuan Anh to take on a more advanced playmaking role to maximize his strengths.

Currently, Nam Dinh FC leads the V-League 2024/2025 standings, sitting three points ahead of second-placed The Cong Viettel.
