Quang Hai returns to full training, emphasizes readiness and confidence in Vietnam’s goalkeepers

Quang Hai returns to full training with the team after a period of individual practice and shares heartfelt thoughts on the goalkeeper position of the Vietnam national team.

During the training session on the afternoon of March 14, Quang Hai and Tien Linh were able to rejoin the full-team training. Previously, the duo had to train separately in the early days of the national team camp due to their physical condition not being at its best.

Sharing about his health status, Quang Hai said: “I haven’t been on the training field in the past few days because I needed time to recover after a series of matches in the V-League. Now, I feel very healthy and ready to give my best for the national team in the upcoming matches.”

When asked about whether the young goalkeepers in this squad can handle the responsibility of guarding the goal, especially after Dinh Trieu’s injury left his availability uncertain, Quang Hai responded: “I don’t think they are young anymore because they have already gained experience playing in the V-League. Everyone called up to the squad deserves to be here. Their presence is also a motivation for other players to work harder in pursuit of wearing the national team jersey.”

Up ahead, the Vietnam national team will play a friendly match against Cambodia on March 19, followed by a 2027 Asian Cup qualifier against Laos on March 25. Speaking about these two games, Quang Hai emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and the players’ mindset: “The match against Cambodia is an important step in our preparation for facing Laos in the Asian Cup qualifiers. To win, the entire team must stay focused and perform to the best of their abilities.”
