Cong Phuong welcomes another new teammate

Binh Phuoc, 15 July, 2025 – The 2025 summer transfer window in Vietnam is heating up, with Binh Phuoc FC actively reinforcing their squad in a bid to secure promotion to the V.League. The latest addition to their roster is midfielder Nguyen Duc Cuong, who officially joined the club as part of a series of new signings.

Duc Cuong had an impressive season with Ninh Binh, scoring three goals and playing a key role in the club’s title-winning campaign. Known for his versatility, mobility, and high work rate, the 1996-born midfielder is expected to add much-needed balance to Binh Phuoc’s midfield.

Club insiders believe Duc Cuong’s ability to win challenges and transition play effectively will help Binh Phuoc control the tempo of matches and support star forward Nguyen Cong Phuong, who will benefit from improved service in the final third.

The arrival of Duc Cuong follows a wave of high-profile signings by Binh Phuoc this summer, including Luong Xuan Truong, Vo Van Khoa, Tran Trong Hieu, and Tran Quang Thinh. These acquisitions underline the club’s ambitious strategy as they aim to secure one of the two direct promotion spots available in the 2025-2026 V.League 2 season.

Last season, Binh Phuoc came agonizingly close to promotion but fell short in the playoff match against Da Nang. Determined to avoid similar disappointment, the club’s management has made significant investments to build a competitive and experienced squad.

With the new reinforcements in place, Binh Phuoc is expected to be one of the top contenders in the race for promotion. The midfield partnership of Xuan Truong and Duc Cuong is particularly anticipated by fans, as the club prepares to embark on a crucial season with high expectations.

The transfer activity highlights Binh Phuoc’s determination to reach the V.League, and the club’s supporters are hopeful that this new-look squad can finally deliver top-flight football to the province.
