Bangkok, 14 December 2025 – Vietnamese shooting continued its impressive run at SEA Games 33, winning two more gold medals on December 14 while also setting two new SEA Games records in a highly successful day of competition.
On December 14, the Vietnam shooting team delivered an outstanding performance, quickly securing two gold medals for the Vietnam Sports Delegation in both individual and team events.
In the women’s 10m air pistol team event, Trinh Thu Vinh, Nguyen Thuy Trang, and Trieu Thi Hoa Hong produced a dominant display to win Vietnam’s first shooting gold medal of the day at SEA Games 33. Notably, the Vietnamese trio also broke the SEA Games record, finishing with a total score of 1,771 points.
Vietnam’s strong form continued in the women’s 10m air pistol individual event, where Trinh Thu Vinh and Nguyen Thuy Trang competed consistently and confidently against regional rivals. The final saw both Vietnamese shooters on the podium, with Trinh Thu Vinh winning the gold medal and Nguyen Thuy Trang taking the silver.
Adding to the achievement, Trinh Thu Vinh set another SEA Games record in the women’s 10m air pistol individual event, scoring 242.7 points to underline her class and composure under pressure.
The two gold medals and record-breaking performances further strengthened Vietnam’s medal tally at SEA Games 33 and reaffirmed shooting as one of the country’s key medal-winning sports at the regional level.
