Hanoi Police FC lose key attacking threat ahead of clash with Thanh Hoa

Hanoi, 23 February 2026 – Hanoi Police FC will unexpectedly be without foreign striker Leo Artur in their rescheduled Round 10 clash against Thanh Hoa in the V.League 1 2025–2026 season.

According to the latest announcement from VPF, Hanoi Police FC will not have the services of the Brazilian forward for the upcoming fixture. This is considered a significant setback, as Leo Artur has been a key attacking figure for Hanoi Police FC.

Previously, the striker received a straight red card in the second-leg match against Tampines Rovers in the AFC Champions League Two. The dismissal not only ended Hanoi Police FC’s continental campaign but also led to consequences in domestic competition.

As a result, Leo Artur has been handed a suspension for the next round, forcing coach Mano Polking to reconsider his personnel options. With the title race heating up, the absence of such an important attacking weapon is expected to have a major impact on Hanoi Police FC’s ambitions.

On the other side, Thanh Hoa will also be missing a key player. Defender Nguyen Dinh Huyen is suspended after accumulating three yellow cards, as per regulations. The match between Thanh Hoa and Hanoi Police FC will kick off at 6:00 PM on February 24 at Thanh Hoa Stadium.
