Hanoi, 15 March 2026 – Do Hoang Hen cast his vote for the first time in the election for the 16th National Assembly and the People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term.

After officially obtaining Vietnamese citizenship in October 2025, Do Hoang Hen participated in the national election for the first time on the morning of March 15. The midfielder woke up early to prepare for the voting process and expressed his happiness at receiving a voter card bearing his Vietnamese name.

Hoang Hen shared his emotions about the meaningful moment:
“This is a great honor and an important milestone in my life. I am truly happy to hold my ballot. Today is a very special day, and I am proud to take part in the election. Becoming a Vietnamese citizen is a dream that has come true for me. I feel honored to have the opportunity to carry out the rights and responsibilities of a Vietnamese citizen.”

During his first voting experience, Hoang Hen received assistance from other voters and officials at Polling Station No. 22 in Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi. Their support helped him complete the voting process smoothly, making the moment even more meaningful as he fulfilled one of his civic duties.

Recently, Hoang Hen has been in impressive form for Hanoi FC in the V.League 1 2025/2026 season. He scored a brace to help Hanoi FC defeat Hanoi Police FC, and later provided an assist for David Fisher to open the scoring in the team’s victory over Song Lam Nghe An.

Thanks to his strong performances, Hoang Hen is widely expected to be included by Coach Kim Sang Sik in the Vietnam national team squad preparing for the upcoming Asian Cup 2027 qualifier against Malaysia on March 31.
