SHB Da Nang temporarily escape the bottom of the table

Ho Chi Minh City, 15 May 2026 – Updated V.League 1 – 2025/2026 standings see Da Nang temporarily climb off the bottom and push PVF-CAND down to last place.

In the opening match of Round 23 of the V.League 1 2025/2026 season, Da Nang drew 2-2 with Ho Chi Minh City Police FC to temporarily escape the bottom position in the standings. At the moment, Da Nang have the same 17 points as PVF-CAND but rank higher thanks to a better goal difference.

At Binh Duong Stadium, Da Nang took an early lead in the 6th minute through Milan Makaric. However, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC turned the game around to lead 2-1 with goals from Lee Williams and Makrillos Peter. It was not until the 76th minute that Da Nang found the equalizer, as Vo Nguyen Hoang stepped up to make it 2-2.

Da Nang’s rise to second-from-bottom — the position that leads to the relegation play-off — and PVF-CAND dropping to the bottom spot, which means direct relegation, has made this season’s V.League 1 survival race extremely intense.

In Round 23, PVF-CAND will face a very difficult challenge against Hanoi FC, who are still battling fiercely for a top-three finish. According to the schedule, the match between PVF-CAND and Hanoi FC will kick off at 18:00 on May 17.
