Nguyen Tai Loc vows to give his all for the national team

Hanoi, 25 June 2026 – Speaking to the media, newly naturalized player Nguyen Tai Loc said he is determined to give his best and make a meaningful contribution to the Vietnam national team.

On June 25, Vietnam continued their preparations for the upcoming friendly match against Myanmar with another training session. For Nguyen Tai Loc, the camp represents one of the most memorable moments of his career as he joins the national team for the first time.

The former Hanoi FC player expressed his pride and excitement at receiving the opportunity to represent Vietnam, stressing that his focus is on working hard every day and contributing as much as possible to the team.

“I am very happy. This is a special moment in my life,” Nguyen Tai Loc said. “I will give everything I have and do my best for Vietnam.”

Born as Geovane Magno, Nguyen Tai Loc completed his naturalization process at the end of April after spending more than five years living and playing football in Vietnam. Capable of operating as both a midfielder and a forward, the versatile Brazilian-born player has built a strong reputation in Vietnamese football through his technical ability and tactical intelligence.

Currently playing for Ninh Binh FC, the 32-year-old has maintained impressive form this season, scoring seven goals in 17 appearances. Across his V.League career, he has made 130 appearances and scored 42 goals, establishing himself as one of the league’s most reliable and adaptable attacking players.

Tai Loc believes settling into the national team environment will not be overly challenging, having previously played alongside several Vietnam internationals, including Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Hoang Duc and Bui Hoang Viet Anh at club level.

However, the 1.88-meter-tall player admitted that his biggest challenge at the moment is learning Vietnamese. While acknowledging the difficulty of mastering a new language, Nguyen Tai Loc remains determined to improve quickly and adapt to life with the national team as smoothly as possible.
