South Korea, 10 July 2026 – After enjoying a scheduled rest day, the Vietnam National Team returned to the training ground as preparations continued for the final match of their pre-ASEAN Cup 2026 training camp in South Korea.
Thursday’s session focused on refining both defensive and attacking combinations, with the coaching staff placing particular emphasis on tactical coordination through small-sided games played across two-thirds of the pitch. The exercises were designed to further improve the team’s overall organization ahead of the upcoming tournament.
One of the biggest positives from the session was the return of experienced center-back Do Duy Manh to on-field training. After spending several days recovering at the team hotel under the supervision of the medical staff, the veteran defender was finally able to resume ball work.

Duy Manh had been carrying an injury before joining the national team camp and has been working steadily through his rehabilitation in an effort to rejoin full training as soon as possible.
Speaking to the media before the session, forward Nguyen Dinh Bac said the squad has made significant progress after nearly three weeks together.
“We’ve been together for almost three weeks preparing for the ASEAN Cup 2026. The two friendly matches in South Korea have helped both the coaching staff and the players continue improving our defensive and attacking play, while also strengthening the understanding between teammates in every position. We’re working hard to be fully prepared for the tournament,” Dinh Bac said.
Vietnam will remain in Incheon for the final phase of the training camp before taking on Gangwon FC, a K League 1 side, in their last warm-up match on July 13.
Following the conclusion of the South Korea camp, head coach Kim Sang-sik and his squad will return to Vietnam to continue preparations for an international friendly against Myanmar, scheduled for July 18 at Thai Nguyen Stadium.
