Hanoi, 15 July 2026 – V.League 1 – 2026/27 transfer market continues to gather momentum as The Cong Viettel have reached an agreement to sign Brazilian midfielder Hernandes Rodrigues. The 26-year-old is expected to add creativity, pace, and attacking versatility to the military club’s frontline.
Hernandes is capable of playing in several attacking roles, including as a winger, attacking midfielder, or center forward. His biggest strengths lie in his speed, dribbling ability, close ball control, and his capacity to finish with either foot, making him a dangerous attacking option.
The Brazilian confirmed the move on his personal Instagram account with a message expressing both gratitude and determination.

Hernandes arrives in Vietnam with extensive experience in South Korea, having spent several seasons in the K League. During his career, he represented Jeonnam Dragons, Gyeongnam FC, Incheon United, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, and Daejeon Hana Citizen.
One of the most valuable chapters of his career came at Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, where he gained experience competing in the AFC Champions League. That continental experience is expected to be a significant asset as The Cong Viettel aim to challenge for regional honors in the coming seasons.
Earlier in 2026, Hernandes returned to Brazil to join Cuiaba in Brazil’s Serie B. According to Transfermarkt, the Brazilian midfielder is currently valued at approximately €500,000.
