Vietnam’s women’s national team outpaces Thailand in the FIFA latest rankings

On June 14, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) updated the FIFA Women’s World Rankings. According to this latest update, the Vietnam Women’s National Team retains its position at 37th globally and ranks 6th in Asia.

Leading the Asian rankings is Japan with 1976 points, followed by North Korea. Australia, China, and South Korea occupy the subsequent positions. In Southeast Asia, Vietnam continues to be the frontrunner, ahead of the Philippines (ranked 39th globally), Thailand (46th), and Indonesia (107th).

Globally, the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings see Spain maintaining its top position. The French Women’s National Team has gained 10.71 points, moving up to second place. Meanwhile, the England Women’s National Team, despite gaining 2.06 points, has slipped to third place in the world.

This ranking reaffirms the Vietnam Women’s National Team’s strong presence in both the Asian and Southeast Asian football scenes, demonstrating their continued progress and competitiveness on the international stage.
