Top asian referee participates in officiating the V.League 1 – 2023/2024

According to VPF, Round 24 of the V-League 2023/2024 will see the involvement of two Southeast Asian referees. Wiwat Jumpaoon from Thailand will officiate the match between Binh Dinh and Hanoi FC at Quy Nhon Stadium on June 20, while Razlan Joffri Bin Ali from Malaysia will oversee the game between Quang Nam and SLNA at Hoa Xuan Stadium on June 19.

Razlan Joffri Bin Ali

Born in 1985, Razlan Joffri Bin Ali has been a FIFA referee since 2018 and has been officiating in the Malaysia Super League since 2016. He has extensive experience and has officiated several V-League matches in recent seasons.

Wiwat Jumpaoon

Born in 1989, Wiwat Jumpaoon also became a FIFA referee in 2018. He has officiated numerous matches in the Thai League and the AFC Champions League. Wiwat is familiar with Vietnamese players, having officiated the Vietnam national team’s match against Curacao at the 2019 King’s Cup. He also officiated the friendly match between the Vietnam national team and the Philippines at Hang Day Stadium before the AFF Cup 2022.

The involvement of these two foreign referees highlights the importance of the upcoming matches, which are crucial for both the top and bottom teams in the V-League standings. These matches will significantly impact the championship race and the battle to avoid the play-off spot.
