Opening the ceremony, VFF Secretary General Duong Nghiep Khoi expressed his delight at the continued partnership with Acecook Vietnam for the 2024 tournament. He emphasized Acecook’s long-standing commitment to Vietnamese football, noting that the company has been a key supporter not only of the national teams but also of youth development. He praised Acecook’s decision to sponsor the U19 Women’s National Championship as a major boost for the growth of women’s football in Vietnam.

Previously, Acecook Vietnam had served as the main sponsor for the U15 National Championship. Mr. Khoi highlighted the importance of youth football, especially the development of women’s football, as the foundation for the sustainable growth of Vietnamese football. Over the past 16 years, the U19 Women’s National Championship (previously the U18 National Championship) has become a crucial platform for nurturing young female talent. The tournament offers young players the opportunity to develop their skills, shape their character, and fuel their aspirations, contributing to the next generation of Vietnamese football stars.

He added that with the support of the VFF and the partnership with Acecook Vietnam, the 2024 tournament promises to be a successful event, filled with exciting and competitive matches.

Representing Acecook Vietnam, Deputy Marketing Director Kajiwara Shinsuke expressed his pride in being the main sponsor of the U19 Women’s National Championship 2024. “In addition to continuing our sponsorship of the U15 National Championship, we are honored to sponsor the U19 Women’s National Championship – Acecook Cup 2024. Through this sponsorship, we hope to contribute to the development of young female footballers and provide them with the best conditions to showcase their talents,” he said. He further emphasized Acecook’s commitment to supporting women’s participation in sports and hoped the tournament would inspire future generations of Vietnamese youth.

The 2024 U19 Women’s National Championship – Acecook Cup will feature six teams: Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen T&T, Son La, and Zantino Vinh Phuc. The teams will play a double round-robin format, where each team plays two matches against every other team, both home and away. Points will be awarded for each match (three points for a win, one for a draw, and none for a loss), and the team with the most points at the end of the tournament will be crowned champion. The tournament will take place from September 18 to October 19, 2024, with the first round of matches held at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and the second round at Ha Nam Stadium.

After the sponsorship announcement, the tournament’s fixtures were drawn. The opening matches on September 18 will see Ho Chi Minh City face Zantino Vinh Phuc, and Phong Phu Ha Nam take on Hanoi at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Full fixture details and livestream schedules will be provided closer to the tournament.

Acecook Vietnam has been a dedicated partner to the VFF for over half a decade, not only supporting the national teams but also investing in the development of youth football through sponsorship of various tournaments, including the U13 Vietnam-Japan International Youth Football Tournament, the Vietnamese Youth and Student Football Tournaments in 2023 and 2024, and the U15 National Championship – Acecook Cup 2023 and 2024.

This year, Acecook’s role as the main sponsor of the U19 Women’s National Championship underscores its commitment to nurturing the next generation of female footballers and fostering the comprehensive development of Vietnamese football. The company hopes that its support will contribute to elevating the position of Vietnamese football on the global stage.
