Vietnam women’s national football team has landed at Chongqing City Airport, ready to compete in the Chongqing Yongchuan Women’s Tournament. The international friendly tournament will take place from October 23 to October 29 in Chongqing, China.
Despite a one-stop flight transfer at Guangzhou International Airport, the team’s two-hour flight segments were planned efficiently to allow ample rest, ensuring that the players maintained good physical condition and high spirits upon arrival.
Speaking about the importance of the tournament, goalkeeper Kim Thanh emphasized that while it is a friendly competition, it holds significant value for the Vietnam women’s team in a year without major international commitments. She added, “Every training camp and friendly match is a great opportunity to gain experience. I hope the younger players will have more chances to learn and improve by playing against different opponents, especially those with advantages in physique and stamina. It is only through such matches that we can quickly improve.”
Upon arrival, the team swiftly moved to their hotel for rest. Tomorrow (October 22), head coach Mai Duc Chung will attend the pre-tournament press conference, followed by the team’s official training session at the Yongchuan Sports Center.
