Vietnam national football team has arrived in South Korea to begin their 10-day training camp in preparation for the ASEAN Cup 2024. The team will be training in Gyeongju, which is located nearly 300 kilometers south of Seoul.
Since the training camp is taking place in southern South Korea, the Vietnamese team flew directly to Busan instead of Seoul. The team’s flight, VN 428, departed at 12:50 AM on November 23 from Hanoi and landed in Busan at approximately 6:30 AM Vietnam time.
Upon arrival in Busan, the team continued their journey to the training location in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk Province, about 80 kilometers away.
This marks the national team’s first overseas trip since June, when they suffered a 1-3 defeat to Iraq in the final match of the second round of World Cup 2026 qualifiers in the Asia region.
According to the schedule, head coach Kim Sang Sik and his players will have three training matches with K-League 3 teams: Ulsan Citizen on November 27, followed by K-League 1 teams Daegu FC on November 29 and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC on December 1.
After the training camp, the team will be reinforced by players from Nam Dinh FC before finalizing the squad for the ASEAN Cup 2024.
