On the afternoon of November 24, 2024, the Vietnam national football team was greeted by a strong presence of Vietnamese fans attending their training session in South Korea. These fans, many of whom live, study, or work in South Korea, brought a unique atmosphere to the session, offering their support and encouragement to coach Kim Sang Sik and his players.
During the session, the team focused primarily on tactical training, building cohesion in group coordination, as well as working on both attacking and defensive strategies. This followed a morning training session dedicated to physical conditioning. Over the next two days, the players will continue with double training sessions, with morning sessions focused on enhancing physical fitness and afternoon sessions honing tactical play.
Speaking before the training session, central defender Do Duy Manh shared, “Football without fans feels very dull. We hope that fans, both domestic and international, will continue to support and cheer for the Vietnam national team in the upcoming tournament. As professional players, we must adapt to any training or playing environment. We learn to adjust as quickly as possible. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the coaching staff chose South Korea for the training camp to help the team build fitness and tactical strategies for the ASEAN Cup. I think this is a very good place for our team to train.”
On November 27, the team will play a warm-up match against Ulsan Citizen FC, followed by two more fixtures against Daegu FC on November 29 and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC on December 1, as part of their final preparations for the ASEAN Cup 2024.
